Autauga County native joins Alabama Farmer's Federation summer staff
MONTGOMERY, Ala. — The Alabama Farmers Federation has hired Katie Wendland of Autaugaville as a summer intern in the organization’s Communications Department. This is the second consecutive internship for Wendland, an Auburn University junior.
“I am so excited to have the opportunity to work here at the Federation again,” said Wendland, whose father, Andy Wendland, operates Autauga Farming Co. “I am fortunate to be surrounded by so many talented individuals who are willing to give their time and efforts to help make me a better advocate for the agricultural community. Federation members are excellent examples of agricultural advocates, and I look forward to helping promote the transparency displayed in farming and producing practices to better educate the public.”
