MOBILE, AL (WSFA)- The announcement was made Tuesday morning that the LPGA Tour will be returning to the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Capitol Hill in Prattville in the fall of 2014.
The Senator Course at Capitol Hill will be home to the Alabama LPGA Classic presented by the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail.
The event is being sponsored by three companies that did not want any publicity, so the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail is the glue holding the deal together. While the companies' names were not revealed, they are said to be out-of-state, American businesses.
It costs on average between $3 million to $4 million to run
an LPGA Tour. That cost is paid through ticket sales and cities. The actual purse for this tour will be $1 million and will be shared by the three
