Bonnie Crest Country Club in Montgomery was the place to be Saturday night! Thanks to a huge crowd of supporters our ‘Getting Down with the Dawgs’ Draw Down brought in over $10,000 to help our animals! And in the end, six very happy attendees split the $10,000 grand prize and many more went home with some awesome gift baskets and two different donated hotel packages to help us do even more for our animals.
Many, many thanks to Charline Pope, Kim & Jimmy Baker, Friederika Dorough, all who donated gift baskets, the great staff at Bonnie Crest, and all those who took a chance by buying one or more tickets. This is our first major fund-raising event of the year so we were thrilled to see so many shelter friends and supporters. We heard many attendees say they will be back next year so stay in touch and we’ll post our 2014 date as soon as we have it!
We are battling with one other group for first place in the Shelter Challenge so we can win another $1000 for our pets. Please vote for us daily by going to www.theanimalrescuesite.com and “The Shelter Challenge” tab where you can type in our name or the city of Wetumpka to find us. We need your help to get back to #1 until the ‘challenge’ ends on April 28th so please vote and ask all of your friends, family, coworkers and more to vote for us –it’s free and takes less than a minute of your time!
