Prattville authorities still searching for fake police officer

PRATTVILLE, AL (WSFA) - All has been quiet in the case of a police impersonator that authorities in Prattville continue to seek. The suspect is apparently keeping a low profile.

The unidentified suspect initiated a traffic stop on a female driver near Prattville on Interstate 65 in early February, but the driver was able to get away unharmed after she realized the suspect was not a real police officer.

The suspect struck again a couple of days later, activating his lights to pull over a vehicle. The suspect, driving a white Ford Crown Victoria with law enforcement blue lights and no license plate, sped away possibly because the driver of the other vehicle was a male.
